The Pakistan MMA Federation (PAKMMAF) proudly represented the nation at the 2024 IMMAF Asian Youth Championships, hosted at the prestigious Khalifa Sports City in Bahrain during the renowned BRAVE International Combat Week. As one of the continent’s most significant amateur youth MMA competitions, this championship showcased the rising stars of Asian MMA — and Pakistan was once again on the map.

Pakistan’s Presence in Youth A Division

Representing Pakistan with skill and determination in the Youth A Featherweight (65.8 kg) division was Hamzah Javed. Competing among Asia’s top amateur prospects aged 16–17, Hamzah delivered a strong performance, reaching the final and earning a silver medal for Pakistan.

His achievement at such a competitive platform reflects the growing standard of MMA training and youth development within Pakistan. It also signals the bright future of Pakistani MMA at the international level.

Developing Future Champions

The IMMAF Youth Championships are divided into three age groups — Youth A (16–17), Youth B (14–15), and Youth C (12–13) — with modified rules to ensure athlete safety while promoting real competition experience. These events play a critical role in building the next generation of mixed martial artists, and Team Pakistan’s participation is a reflection of PAKMMAF’s dedication to long-term athlete development.

Held under IMMAF’s global standards, the championship is recognized as a key pathway for young athletes to move toward elite international and professional careers. By competing in such prestigious events, our youth gain not only global exposure but also confidence, discipline, and technical refinement.

️ Our Commitment to Youth MMA

The Pakistan MMA Federation is committed to cultivating safe, structured, and progressive platforms for young fighters. From grassroots gyms to international arenas, PAKMMAF is focused on providing the support systems needed for young athletes to flourish in the sport — physically, mentally, and professionally.

Hamzah Javed’s silver medal is more than a personal win — it’s a national milestone. It highlights what is possible when Pakistani talent is given the opportunity to shine on the right stage.

The Road Ahead

With more youth-focused training programs, coaching certifications, and national-level qualifiers in the works, PAKMMAF continues to invest in the development of Pakistan’s future champions. The 2024 IMMAF Asian Youth Championships mark a proud moment in our journey — but the journey is far from over.

The next generation is rising. And they’re wearing green.
